Blueprint Reading for Construction Seminar

GOAL: Drawings are used to communicate ideas and relate directions on a construction project. All persons involved in the planning, supplying, or construction of the structure should be able to read construction drawings.

BENEFITS OF TRAINING: Upon completion of the program you will be able to read and work with a variety of print types such as plot plans, foundation prints, and framing prints, including knowledge of plan and elevation views, dimensioning techniques and construction materials.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS: This program features hands on use of actual construction prints to provide realistic job experience.

Methodology: Training sessions are comprised of lecture, written exercises, reading and interpreting actual construction drawings, PowerPoint and video presentations. Workshops materials include a copy of Print Reading for Construction by Walter C. Brown.

Who Should Attend: Technical Students, apprentices, and adult workers, persons studying construction, estimating, or construction management and other construction professionals interested in learning how to read construction prints or updating their knowledge in this area.
