Training Grants

Skilled employees are highly valuable to a company, yet many employers assume training is too costly. Not necessarily, thanks to the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund and the Safety Grant Program from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

About Workforce Training Fund Grants 

Workforce Training Fund grants are the answer to your training budget needs, and WorkTerrain can help you obtain them. With the Workforce Training Fund grant, employers incur little or no direct, out-of-pocket subcontracted training costs. And we'll assist you in writing these training grants, at no cost, when you contract the training through WorkTerrain. Grants typically range from $2,000 – $250,000.

To qualify for the grant, your company must

• have Massachusetts-based employees
• pay unemployment tax
• not be governmental agency  

About the Safety Grant Program

The prevention of occupational injury and illness is in everyone's best interest. Every fiscal year, the Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) through the Office of Safety, awards $800,000 in safety training grants to various organizations. In each fiscal year, thousands of persons receive workplace training through programs funded by the DIA grant. This highly successful program provides monies for workplace safety training aimed at workers throughout the Commonwealth.

The Department of Industrial Accidents, through the Office of Safety, is the only state agency in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts whose primary function is to provide financial assistance for the prevention of occupational injury, illness and death in the workplace.
